As you can imagine, building an apartment complex is quite a complicated process.
By the time construction starts, there have already been significant amounts of time and money invested in the project.
The pre-purchase stage involves finding a suitable site, assembling a team of architects, engineers, builders, and other suppliers, arranging finance, completing risk assessments, and conducting feasibility studies.
The purchase stage includes negotiating pricing, drawing up contracts and proceeding with the site purchase.
The planning stage is when architects and engineers draw up the technical specifications and planning permits and development and design approvals are obtained.
The pre-construction stage is when a building certifier is appointed to inspect the building plans and specifications before issuing a building permit.
Demolition is when the fun really begins! This is when the existing building is knocked down to make way for the new development.
Site works will then be undertaken to prepare the land and ensure it is safe and secure for the new building. This stage can include soil reports, grading, excavation, and installation of utilities.
After all this work, construction can finally start! At METRO425 we have completed the foundations, first floor slab, first floor frame and brickwork, second floor frame and we are now working on the second-floor brickwork.
Once the basic structure is complete, we will bring in the plumbers, electricians, cabinet makers and other tradesman to begin the fit-out stage.
The final stage in the process is the practical completion stage where all painting, installations and detailing have been completed and your lovely new METRO425 apartment is ready for you to move in.
